Social Justice Film Festival

November 19, 2017 @ 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Rainier Arts Center
3515 S Alaska St
Seattle, WA 98118

If ever there was a time to fight for social justice, it’s now. The 6th annual Social Justice Film Festival returns to Rainier Arts Center on Sunday, Nov. 19 from 2-10 pm. This year’s festival theme is The #Resistance.

At 2 pm, Called to Rescue peers into the world of farm animals and the people protecting the voiceless. At 4 pm in Whale of a Tale, a Japanese whaling village deals with worldwide infamy for continuing its centuries-old hunting practices. At 6 pm, scientists and activists debate an emotional question: Is circumcision unnecessary genital mutilation? And at 8 pm, join us for Peace Agency, an Indonesian woman’s road to empowerment over religious persecution.

Come for brave and artistically creative films, and leave with your shot of inspiration!
