Grab a blanket, pack a picnic and join your friends and neighbors for an entertaining evening of great classical music in Columbia Park… for free!

At 7:15pm, there’s live music performed by an outstanding ensemble of student musicians.  Then at 8pm, everyone is invited to listen to that evening’s Seattle Chamber Music Festival concert, streamed live into Columbia Park by KING-FM, direct from Benaroya Hall.

The events take place Friday evenings July 7th, 14th, 21nd and 28th in Columbia Park, at the corner of Rainier Ave. S, and S. Alaska (between the Library and the Rainier Arts Center).

Last summer, up to 250 people came out each night to enjoy the casual atmosphere and great music, with people chatting, eating and coming-and-going as they please.  So join us at Columbia Park for an evening of fun, food and great MUSIC UNDER THE STARS.

Performances from 2016:

  • the Daana Quartet, an award-winning quartet from UW
  • Trio Camellia, a wonderful string ensemble from UW
  • the Möbius Quartet, finalists in the 2015 KING-FM Young Artist Award competition
  • the Sempre Sisters, winners of the KING-FM Young Artist Award
